The reader list

When you submit a signup form, your email address is sent directly to Kit for Yauvan’s reader list. The form you choose records whether you came for the story, the foreword, or general writing. Kit handles confirmation and subscription delivery. If you choose a reading format, that preference is included with your signup.

You can unsubscribe using the link in any reader-list email. For Kit’s handling of subscriber information, see Kit’s privacy information. Reader signup is separate from a purchase.

The private session

The session uses choices and passages written in advance. Your answers remain in the current browser tab. They are cleared when you leave or restart the session. They are not submitted to an AI service, added to your subscriber profile, or stored by this site.

Sound and imagery

Music and the Prophet’s recording start after you choose to play them. Cinematic video loads as you move through the house; reduced-motion and quiet-reading views use still images. Fonts and some images and films are served by external providers, which receive the network information needed to deliver those files.

Measurement

We use Vercel Web Analytics to see how the site is used. It sets no cookies, counts visits in aggregate, and does not track you across other sites. We also count two things: signups to the reader list, and clicks through to a retailer.

If you arrive from a campaign link (one with ?via= or utm_campaign= in the address), that label is kept in your browser for up to 30 days. If you sign up in that time, it is saved with your subscription in Kit so we know which campaign brought you.

Links to social profiles and retailers take you to those services. Their own privacy and account settings apply there.
